iWALK2.0 Helps Heather Tackle CRPS
In November of 2003, Heather suffered from a ruptured tendon in her ankle. After five months in several different casts and failed rehabilitation programs, she was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, also known as CRPS or RSD. CRPS results from a malfunction of the central and peripheral nervous system in response to tissue damage. These nerves continuously misfire, causing sometimes severe chronic pain to the affected area.
